The 2019 proficiency test is a test in molecular biology for the detection of Bonamia ostreae and B. existiosa by PCR. The test include a set of 24 samples of genomic DNA from flat oyster O. edulis.
Optionally, participants are invited to test a new multiplex PCR assay allowing the simultaneous detection of of Bonamia ostreae and B. existiosa that has been recently developed by the EURL for mollusc diseases.
Samples were sent on the 18th of June. Participants have to report their results before the 20th of July.
